A Small Start

I stopped my blogs at TV.com a number of months ago. I'm not sure I miss it, I still participate in the site and I never got personal in my blogs. For some reason, I always wanted that site to be a place to read and share facts and opinions about TV and TV history. But that was not to be. Lots of people there talk about their life in blogs, and I enjoyed it, but it never felt right for me to do it. There is still something about me that wants to maintain a distance on internet sites that were designed for specific purposes. It always seemed to me that having personal feelings could take away from the mission of the place (such as old site friends defending each other, even after someone had willfully damaged data). But then again, who knows?

I suppose a place like this seems more designed to express feelings. I have never been a journal kind of person, but I suppose it would be here if anywhere.

  1. TV.com had become personal for me when it was small and just beginning. I was lucky enough to actually meet some of the friends I made there. I think my blogs were just chatterings to friends. It did finally hit me one day that there was very little chatting about TV going on (at least on my end)and waaaay too much serious crap.I ended up here after following several serious TV.com bloggers. I blop very little because there is a ton of reading, here!
    BTW~ LOVE the playlist!
